Art allows us to develop creativity which is important throughout our lives–especially for children! When kids use their fingers to manipulate art materials they develop fine motor skills.

Through arts and crafts, we learn to value and appreciate our efforts. We learn to act and think like designers, artists, architects, and engineers. From speaking and reading to listening and understanding. Your conversations become more meaningful with questions like, “Why did you choose that color?” and “Tell me about what you made.”

By doing something creative, you allow for self-expression and this lets kids express (and cope with) their feelings. It also fosters mental growth by providing opportunities for trying out new ideas, new ways of thinking and problem-solving.
